This course is essential.

What inpsired you to join the course?

To learn more about supervision alongside my Time to Think Faculty journey. I felt strongly that if I was going to supervise others as they learn I needed to up my game in that area. I also knew that learning more about supervision would develop my own coaching practice, which it absolutely did!

What did you find most valuable about the course?

Hard to pin it down there was so much and my thinking has continued to evolve since! Confidence in my ability to "supervise" using the Thinking Environment approach, an understanding of the differences between coaching supervision and practicum supervision, and the awareness of the huge value that this approach to supervision brings, and it's many potential applications. I think it also deepened my understanding and strengthened my approach to the teaching around information rather than advice.

How has the course helped you?

It has built my confidence, deepened my understanding and developed relatiohships with new people. It has also been completely invaluable to me and by extension my students through my Faculty journey. I would recommend it to anyone who is stepping into Faculty, as they supervise people through the practicum process.

If you’re thinking of doing the course I’d want to share with you..

The group was fab, and the teaching excellent!

I would absolutely recommend this course with Sophie, for anyone looking to develop a deep understanding of how to help and empower people to think for themselves within a supervision setting. It helped me to recognise where my tendencies might get in the way of being a Thinking Environment in this context, and develop my thinking and strategies to improve. For anyone considering becoming Time to Think Faculty I would say that this course is essential to help consistently adopt a Thinking Environment with practicum students in that context.
