How to run highly effective meetings

Everyone wants the best possible results from meetings. The quality of the decisions and actions that groups take depend on the thinking that is done before, during and after the meeting. This one day workshop will change forever how you run your meetings and will provide you with the practical tools you need to start transforming your meetings immediately.

These meetings have produced the best results of any meetings I’ve been in. I’ve been running meetings for years and years and years, and I’ve never experienced the feeling of success coming out of meetings that I’ve felt coming out of these meetings in a Thinking Environment.

Can you really transform your meetings in one day?

Definitely. Most people want the best from meetings but very few people have been taught how to run meetings well. Meetings that create the conditions for people to connect, pay attention and think well. Meetings that are inclusive of different styles of learning and thinking. Meetings which allow for shared insight, inspiration and constructive dialogue where we are able to ask the right questions and make high quality decisions. Where every person is able to contribute their best thinking.

This one day workshop will leave you confident to facilitate your meetings differently. You’ll learn how to engage and involve all contributors, ensuring everybody is heard and understood in a way that very often transforms the act of attending ‘meetings’ into something really fruitful.

Personally, the course will significantly improve your listening skills, so you can positively affect performance through everyday conversations, unleash the creativity of those you work with and create a highly constructive culture within any team or group.

Aims and Objectives:

We will explore and practice the ways work and business communication structures such as meetings, dialogue, discussion, consultation, presentations, facilitation, and our everyday work with colleagues and staff can be transformed into clear-thinking, invigorating, positive experiences.

·         4 facilitation tools which support the creation of a Thinking Environment in any meeting.

·         A simple planning template which will make any meeting more effective

·         Learn how to embed inclusion, equality and appreciation into the structure of your meetings

·         How to create agenda questions which engage and focus your meetings

·         Learn how to write your agenda so that you get the results you want, and need

Even with just one or two things from this course, any meeting you facilitate would be massively improved. This is the way to facilitate meetings. So simple and yet more effective than any other previous methodology I’ve encountered.
